I also believe that experience is the best way to learn. Hence I offer a free service to provide spreadsheet / database/
web solutions, or small programming projects. Anything I provide comes 'as is', with no guarantee or warranties.
However I do provide solutions that to the best of my knowledge works to the purpose intended.
My main customers so far have been friends and family whom so far have been satisfied. I must also stress that as I
do put a lot of effort into my work, that any solutions provided must not be used for commercial use without my prior
consent. |

Current Apps/Tools
MS Office 97 |
MS Word useful for everything from letters to DTP. Poor Web / HTML tool.
MS Excel very easy to use, very flexible when used in conjunction with VB
MS Access. Access VB different for v2/95/97, but very powerful for wide range of
applications
MS Power Point. Must have for OHP design, and Book Cover design |
Lotus Amipro
Lotus 123
Lotus Approach
|
Ami Pro is so much more intuitive than word. I always recommend this over word for
beginners because it is so much easier to use and far cheaper!
Lotus 123 has macro language which is very easy to do simple and complex stuff, much
easier to pick up than Excel VB
Lotus Approach is very restrictive! The only good thing is its many wizards, thus easy for
beginners. I had to do a biggie project using this and lost most of my hair over it. I don't
know about the 97 version, but unless your needs are simple don't even think about this
package! |
Borland C++ v4.52
Delphi v2 |
Good C/C++ Compiler. Whats even better is this version is free!
Delphi is a RAD front end for pascal. Ultra easy to create window apps. plus this version is
also free! |
Namo Web Editor
Dream Weaver v2
Allastaire Homesite v4 |
Easiest WYSIWYG editor I've seen to date. Not very good text HTML editing though.
WYSIWYG is not as easy to use as Namo but overall a very good editor, much cleaner
HMTL code produced
Best text HTML editor I've seen so far, but the WYSIWYG is very lacking |
Corel Draw v8
Adobe PhotoShop v4 |
A big definite must have. One of the best OCR that actually work, and the graphics suite is
incredible. Only downside is it is very, very expensive.
I haven't tried v5, but I am more than happy with this one. Graphic manipulation that is even
easy for me to use. (I'm not that arty farty). |
